Glass Roots Construction Hiring for Administrative Coordinator at Remote Full Time

POSITION SUMMARY

Glass Roots Construction (GRC) was founded by a team of well funded career telecom and construction professionals and looks to leverage the latest technologies, best in industry equipment, construction and safety practices to build a first-class fiber optic utility construction firm in multiple markets throughout the US. This position is responsible for working with the Operations Manager, President, and Director of Operations to ensure operations run smoothly. The company will initially be focused on construction projects in the Arcata/Redding, CA area, but will expand to work in other geographies over the next 12-24 months. The successful candidate must have an interest in data management, logistics, and/or operations environments, be excited about opportunities to learn and grow in their career, and be able to execute on a variety of projects at a time. This position will report to the Operations Manager and represents an opportunity to join an awesome team on the ground floor, learn a lot and have a ton of fun as GRC grows!

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Key responsibilities include:

• Acquiring , organizing, and maintaining all vehicle DOT registrations & records consistent with state requirements
• Work with government permitting agencies to obtain and close-out construction permits
• Coordinate employee recruiting, hiring, and training
• Operating / software systems administration
• Data entry and management
• Administer Construction & Safety health & safety programs, with support from Construction Leadership, ensuring compliance with state/local/DOT/OSHA reqs.
• Coordinate materials and equipment tracking
• Manage contract administration and execution
• Manage rental properties

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• Strong technical/business knowledge
• BS degree in engineering, GIS, mathematics or business management preferred
• Ability to work constructively with permitting agencies, DOT/OSHA inspectors and other stakeholders

PREFERRED SKILLS

• Strong data entry skills
• Strong analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills
• Process and documentation orientation, with a focus on continuous improvement
• Strong written and verbal communications skills
• Experience with Google Suite (Sheets, etc.), Google Maps, Google Earth and project management tools a plus
• Understanding of basic utility construction processes and terminology a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 – $60,000.00 per year
