GSK’s Global Products & Technology (GP&T) manages, develops and supports GSKs global products and applications (such as Azure, SAP, Workday) as well as providing infrastructure services (including servers & storage, Cloud services, Networking, End User services, Identity & Access Management and Help Desk) to support all GSK sites globally. 100k+ users, across 300+ sites.

This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following:-

Role & Responsibilities for the Senior Engineer:

• Build mission critical, production strength systems on Microsoft Azure designed to scale and aligned to security standards

• Use Infrastructure as Code to formalize builds

• Develop CI/CD pipelines to automate processes and releases

• Develop extensive automated tests covering functionality, performance, security etc.

• Develop extensive logging, monitoring and other supporting functions to ensure systems are reliable, performant and secure

• Assist in defining standards, patterns, and best practices

• Develop documentation and runbooks to ensure L2 resources can help support our systems 24/7 and to help customers understand our platform capabilities

We are looking for a Professional and if you have these skills, we would like to speak to you.

• 5+ years hands on experience building resilient platforms and systems

• 2+ years hands on experience building infrastructure solutions on Cloud platforms in a Production environment (ideally cloud certified on Azure)

• 2+ years hands on experience with infrastructure as code tooling such as Terraform, Ansible (in a Production environment)

• 2+ years hands on experience with windows shell scripting (PowerShell etc.)

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field involving coding

• Expertise with at least 1 modern programming language

• Great communication skills: we work with our global internal employee customer base frequently, helping them use our platforms

• Preferred 2+ years hands on working with RPA platforms and Bots (ideally with Automation Anywhere)
