The Agency Communications Coordinator is responsible for actively contributing to communications strategy and tactics that promote, enhance, and protect GMR’s brand reputation. Additionally, this role will be expected to have a role specifically in developing social media tactics in support of GMR’s owned channels, including, but not limited to, LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.
he Agency Communications team serves as a resource to the broader agency and provides management, content development and support across public relations, awards, website, social media, advertising, thought leadership, agency-owned events, speakerships, and other brand touchpoints. YOUR IMPACT //
Field, vet and respond to inbound media inquiries
Generate and maintain media lists and editorial calendars
Compile weekly and quarterly PR reports as needed
Maintain and update agency press kits and boilerplates
Monitor media outlets for relevant clips or story angles
Write and post impactful social copy that speaks authentically to GMR’s brand
Monitor agency social platforms for inbound inquiries
Monitor external channels of GMR clients to repost and engage with relevant content
Serve as a social media authority in the team’s work developing external content with internal partners
Assist in planning and executing paid social media campaigns with the goal of building brand awareness and generating client leads for GMR
Actively collaborate with the GMR Strategy team, specifically the social media strategy team, in aligning client-facing social media and influencer work with GMR’s owned external communications
Build and maintain a strong knowledge of GMR’s core services, processes, and solutions
Develop and maintain strong knowledge of GMR past and current programming to provide the most relevant information / case studies / capabilities related to specific business development opportunities
Support additional internal and external communications initiatives as needed
YOUR EXPERIENCE //
Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Journalism, English, Communications, or Public Relations
Prefer at least one internship in public relations, journalism, and/or marketing communications
Excellent interpersonal, organizational and project management skills
Must understand various social media channels, specifically current trends for brand-created content
Must be highly organized and able to multitask and work within deadlines
Experience with Microsoft 365 suite
Experience working with HTML and content management systems preferred, but not required
