The International Recruitment and Global Opportunities team
Goldsmiths has set ambitious targets to grow international student recruitment – including Study Abroad (short, credits only study) – in its Strategic Plan. The Global Opportunities Team, which sits within the International Recruitment and Global opportunities team, is responsible for realising the Study Abroad recruitment targets and for developing the strategy and processes to attract more international students to the institution for short study. The Global Opportunities team is also responsible for developing the Global opportunities strategy and management of the Erasmus+ Plus programme and the Turing Scheme which will replace it. It is a core goal of the University’s International Strategy to increase the numbers of students that undertake overseas training and study placements and the Global Opportunities Team is responsible for achieving this growth in outward mobility and bilateral Erasmus, and non-Erasmus staff and student exchanges including short placements funded by Santander Universities.
The Role
This role is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrator to help deliver efficient and effective international recruitment functions within the team, to ensure a professional level of support and service is given to our agents, and to ensure compliance with current best practice surrounding the use of agents in student recruitment and general good governance in matters of record keeping and finances.
This role requires the post holder to take ownership of processes and management of the University’s educational agent network and provide general administrative support to the Recruitment team for a range of logistical and recruitment based activities, including the hosting of prospective students and playing a major role in the project group which leads on organising and delivering bi-annual agent and counsellor conferences on campus.
Working closely with the International Recruitment Managers the post holder will support and manage the network of agents to maximize high quality student intakes for all programmes at Goldsmiths University London.
They will also work collaboratively with the admissions teams, as well as academic staff where appropriate, to develop effective processes in relation to managing agent based applications and reporting functions.
They should bring experience of working in a customer facing role, ideally a recruitment or sales role, and enthusiasm to manage and develop the agent networks and support the student recruitment functions. They should be an excellent administrator, a good communicator and have excellent intercultural awareness. They should also be a good team player and willing to offer ad hoc support within the team where required.
