We are currently looking for a highly motivated, detail-orientated and multi-tasking administrative professional to assume the role of Personnel Assistant.
The Personnel Assistant in this complex senior position is required to assist with all Personnel functions as the worksite Roster Administrator and act as cover-off for the Personnel Associate, which is the Workplace Administrator (WPA) under the Associate Director, and cover-off for the Administrative Team Lead for the Yellowhead Youth Centre. YYC has approximately 170 Salary and Wage staff in a 24-hour campus based treatment facility. The worksite has responsibility for the recruitment and selection of all entry-level classifications and therefore, the Personnel Assistant may be required to act in a Personnel Consultant role by performing all related duties. This position is also responsible for interpretation and communication of personnel regulations and policies to staff and management, monitoring of absences, workers compensation, staff development tracking, and participation in policy and procedure development. This position is also required to be responsible for all administrative services for the Centre when covering off for the Administrative Team Lead position.
To be successful in this role you will have the ability to exercise good judgment and make informed decisions when dealing with sensitive or confidential issues. In addition, you will also have strong communication and interpersonal skills in order to liaise with internal and external stakeholders, as well as supervise staff. Keen attention to detail and exceptional organization and multitasking skills are also required in this position.
High School Diploma with 3 years directly related office administration experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is essential
Assets:
Budgeting, invoicing will be an asset.
Supervisory experience will be an asset for this position.
Competency in SAP (1GX) and experience other applications such as CMAS, CYFS and CICO is preferred.
Candidates must also possess a valid Class 5 Driver’s License
Equivalency: Directly related experience or education considered on the basis of: one year of experience for one year of education or one year of education for one year of experience.

$1,861.71 – $2,279.37, bi-weekly. ($48,590.63 – $59,491.55 / year)
This is a full time permanent position and the hours of work are Monday to Friday – 36.25 hours weekly.
Final candidates for these positions are required to undergo a Child Welfare Intervention Record Check, reference checks and a security screening.
Candidates must also possess a valid Class 5 Driver’s License
