The Canada-Saskatchewan Job Grant (CSJG) Unit is seeking two (2) motivated individuals for the role of CSJG Consultants located in the Regina office of the Skills Training Branch.

Reporting to the Manager of the CSJG Unit, you will:

• confer with employers, organizations, industry, association, etc. to identify how the CSJG Program, Re-Skill Saskatchewan Training Subsidy (RSTS), and employer driven training can address labour market needs in support of developing, attracting and retaining a skilled and productive work force;
• accept applications and review, negotiate and recommend approval of CSJG and RSTS agreements with employers, organizations, industry, associations, etc. to the CSJG Manager;
• communicate decisions to the applicant and manage relationships that result from that decision;
• monitor, audit and evaluate CSJG and RSTS Agreements to ensure all contractual obligations/conditions are met and CSJG/RSTS program integrity is maintained;
• analyze and assess labour market information/trends and participate in the development of labour market strategies; and
• take a lead role in the marketing and promotion of CSJG and RSTS to employers, etc.

The successful candidate will have the ability to:

• provide service and information of the CSJG, RSTS, ICT Programs & Services, Labour Market Information and trends;
• implement the basic concepts and principles of contract management;
• plan, develop and deliver information and/or presentations at a level appropriate to the audience;
• consult and collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to establish partnerships; obtain, exchange and confirm information; establish and maintain agreements; identify solutions; develop and maintain standards;
• verbally and in writing communicate information to a variety of audiences that persuades, convinces, builds support, educates and promotes understanding;
• ask relevant questions to obtain and document pertinent information used to assess circumstances;
• identify and assess relevant data, trends and opportunities; consider a variety of options; then determine and implement an appropriate course of action;
• work independently, interdependently and participate as a contributing member of a team; and
• plan, prioritize and balance diverse and conflicting workload pressures, taking into consideration task complexity, frequent interruptions and deadlines.

Typically, the knowledge and experience required to achieve the above is obtained through a combination of a post-secondary degree in Education, Administration, or a related field and experience in contract management with external stakeholders.
