The Provincial Disaster Assistance Program (PDAP) helps residents, small businesses, agricultural operations, First Nations, non-profit organizations, and communities recover from natural disasters, including flooding, tornadoes, plow winds and other disasters caused by severe weather. PDAP may help cover the cost of uninsurable essential losses, cleanup, repairs, and temporary relocation.
To support disaster recovery programming, the individual in this position will be responsible to identify data sources, assess the quality and limitations of data and determine whether data is appropriate for use in reports and models. In addition, they interpret the results of research, communicate results, answer information requests from members of the public and government on a variety of topics and help people to interpret the data provided.
