Reporting to the Director, Income Assistance Redesign, you will help support the Ministry’s strategic direction by coordinating and delivering organizational change management strategies for key projects in Income Assistance. You will be called upon to provide advice, recommendations and content related to several major change initiatives for the Branch and Ministry. The Income Assistance Program is looking for an individual with expertise to join the team as a project specialist on the IA Redesign team. In this role you will:
Design and manage special projects and initiatives (change management). Conduct program evaluations including identifying options and recommending courses of action (IA redesign integration/implementation).
Develop indicators for assessing acceptance of changes, identify and action options to address challenges and leverage opportunities.
Apply change management processes and tools in developing strategies that support effective adoption of changes required by ongoing projects.
Conduct impact analyses, assess change readiness and identify key stakeholders.
Lead change management activities.
Support the design, development, delivery and management of change-related communications.
Assess the change impact.
Support training efforts.
The candidate of choice will be a results-oriented leader with the ability to exercise sound judgment in a continuously changing environment. Applicants will have a proven track record and will demonstrate the capacity to apply knowledge of change management techniques that enable smooth transitions during times of significant change. This position will require excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills along with an ability to understand and respond to multiple demands while maintaining solid working relationships with senior officials and staff.
Typically, the successful candidates will have leadership experience and will have obtained the knowledge and abilities required for this position through a degree in the social sciences, human services fields, business administration or public administration with focus on change management. An equivalent combination of experience and education will also be considered.
