Great Eastern Hiring For Assistant Manager – Accounts, General Insurance at Singapore Full Time

Job Purpose

Perform and support accounts receivable and payable duties, including premium collection, payment processing and credit control monitoring

The Job

• Process payments received via cheques and follow up on unsuccessful credit card deductions
• Prepare agent’s annual income statements, sales incentives calculation, agent statements and premium warranty letters
• Follow up with intermediaries on outstanding premium and related queries
• Liaise with bank to process credit card refunds for policy cancellations
• Perform premium aging analysis and bad debt provisions
• Process payment vouchers for refund/ excess payment/ cancellation etc
• Other adhoc tasks as assigned
• Take accountability in considering business and regulatory compliance risks and take appropriate steps to mitigate the risks
• Maintain awareness of industry trends on regulatory compliance, emerging threats and technologies in order to understand the risk and better safeguard the company
• Highlight any potential concerns/ risks and proactively share best risk management practices

Our Requirements

• Degree or professional certificates in Accounting, Finance or Insurance preferred
• At least 3 to 5 years of general insurance/ reinsurance/ finance/ accounting experience preferred
• Candidate should be able to work independently and as a team, have good time management skills and a positive attitude
• High level of integrity, takes accountability of work and good attitude over teamwork
• Take initiative to improve current state of things and adaptable to embrace new changes
