Green Recruitment Ltd Hiring For Legal Counsel at Singapore Full Time

My client is a Global Energy Generator & Utility who are accelerating the transition towards a carbon-neutral economy. Through growth they’re looking to hire a Legal Counsel, based in Singapore, to support their further growth across the region and contribute towards a greener environment.

Your role:

• Analyse complex legal issues in connection with renewable energy project development, project financing, M&A, joint development arrangements, dispute resolution and corporate governance.
• Managing and overseeing the legal, compliance and governance risks relating to company matters and business in the APAC region
• Ensuring that all legal entities in the APAC region and the business is in compliance with all the company policies and laws in each jurisdiction
• General legal support regarding large-scale international projects
• Provide legal, regulatory advice and company corporate secretarial support from the shareholder’s perspective for all legal entities in the APAC region

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in the similar legal capacity (preferably corporate practice and in-house experience), in conjunction with large-scale projects (preferably energy) in cross-border scenarios in Southeast Asia
• Strong experience in Power Purchase Agreements
• Well verse with EMA and all other relevant rules and regulations in Singapore
• Corporate commercial background preferred
• Excellent in negotiation, drafting, analytical, and communication skills
• Experience with land lease and land purchase transactions
• Qualified and called to either Singapore/ Malaysia
