Job Title: Learning Support Assistant

Salary: £12.82 – £14.72 per hour

Are you a recent Psychology graduate with a passion for making a positive impact in the lives of children with special educational needs (SEN) in Winton?

GSL Education provides exceptional education and support to children with special educational needs in a local school based in Winton as a Learning Support Assistant. We believe in creating inclusive environments where every child has the opportunity to thrive and succeed.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with experienced teachers to provide tailored support and assistance to students with special educational needs.

Your Duties May Include

• Assisting in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with SEN.
• Providing one-on-one support to students during lessons and activities.
• Collaborating with teachers to adapt lesson plans and materials to meet the individual needs of students.
• Monitoring and recording student progress and communicating with teachers and parents/carers.
• Creating a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and respected.

Requirements

• A degree in Psychology or a related field.
• Passion for working with children and making a difference in their lives.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, empathy, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Desirable

• Previous experience working with children with special educational needs.
• Knowledge of relevant SEN strategies and interventions.
• Additional qualifications in education or psychology.
