Key Responsibilities – these can vary dependent on location and service.

• Conducting comprehensive psychological assessments to diagnose and formulate treatment plans for clients.
• Providing evidence-based therapeutic interventions for individuals, couples, and groups, with a focus on a client-centered approach.
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic care and effective treatment outcomes.
• Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation, adhering to ethical and legal standards.
• Offering psychoeducation to clients and their families to enhance understanding and coping skills.
• Participating in case conferences, supervision, and professional development activities to stay current with best practices.
• Engaging in outreach activities and community partnerships to promote mental health awareness and support.

Qualifications:

• Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Full registration with the New Zealand Psychologists Board (this can be supported for candidates from a comparable health system)
