“The Technology & Operations Division delivers a ‘Members First’ service experience to members via the Aware Super Service Centre, manages all superannuation and insurance member administrative services, ensures IT infrastructure and platforms enable effective operations across the business, while also driving a culture of continuous improvement so that the business delivers great outcomes for members and clients and continually improves how this happens.”

As a Front EndFull Stack Developer in the Solution Delivery – Experience Platforms team, you will be responsible for working closely with other developers and stakeholders to understand requirements, solve problems and build custom UI components in Angular and Rest based APIs. You will work on multiple code bases, maintain a common code library and build new components from scratch.

Key capabilities:

• Experience building complex web applications in Angular (9+)
• Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, SCSS, JavaScript, Typescript, Node/NPM
• Experience with API development using REST concepts using Spring, JAX-RS, CDI , etc
• Basic conceptual understanding of cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience using git to manage code and JIRA/Confluence for task management
• Comfortable creating custom responsive UI layouts in HTML/SCSS for modern browsers from scratch, without relying on CSS frameworks
• Confidence in how to use Angular’s feature set to engineer well-designed solutions to various technical problems
• Confidence utilising the Java development ecosystem with the build & dependency manager (Maven), unit test frameworks (TestNG, Mockito, Arquillian etc).
• Strong problem solving ability, you’ll face unexpected challenges and will need to overcome these by thinking outside the box
• Experience integrating a Single Sign On or OAuth authentication flow
• Experience in writing and executing test suites Front end and back end.
• Ability to use browser developer tools to debug complex issues and trace network requests
• Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to engage effectively in group discussions, collaborate on solution design with other team members and present solutions to stakeholders

Role responsibilities

Operational

• Deliver and support software-based solutions for aligned internal business divisions, including the influencing of design, development, configuration, systems testing, and/or support of business solutions
• Leverage organisation standard methodologies, supported by automation for the delivery of consistent and repeatable processes
• Prepare non-production environments (software configuration, test data, application setup) to support the delivery of project or BAU initiatives.
• Ensure all configuration changes & Releases are planned and documented before implementation and Technology ITIL change management processes adhered to.
• Regularly review patches / upgrades for supported applications.
• Completion of production incidents, service requests and tasks relevant to supported systems

• Participate, lead and support project management activities & delivery
• Manage and work with stakeholders collaboratively to address issues and create solutions

Solution Delivery

• Work collaboratively and actively communicate with all areas of Technology, key technology service providers, business users and Risk and Compliance teams to ensure deliverables are within time and budget
• Promote and support adhere to IT Strategy, Architecture and security standards.
• Share knowledge and support peers across Service Operations to ensure we do not have single points of sensitivity across the team.
• Actively participate in team planning and roadmap activities to ensure holistic solutions are considered and delivered.
