Hamdan Resources Looking for Software Application Engineer at Ashburn, VA Full Time

The Software Application Engineer will work in a dynamic environment with exposure to many systems. The particular areas of focus are mobile application development, embedded systems work, and IR&D efforts. Other projects will be assigned based on program requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement software on embedded devices
• Developing software and firmware applications in a Linux environment
• Define and document software requirements
• Architect and build Linux and Android applications
• Software implementation of integrated hardware sensors
• Implementation and testing of software in an iterative development process
• Documenting software designs and architectures
• Diagnosis of problems and performance analysis

Clearance

• Secret or Top Secret

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
• C / C++ experience
• Proficient with Android, JAVA, Kotlin, and Python
• Version control experience: GIT and/or SVN
• GPS, GNSS experience strongly desired
• Experience building mapping software applications
• Test and debug software using debuggers, emulators, simulators, etc.
• Passion for learning new technologies
• Ability to work independently and solve challenges with minimal supervision
• Desire to work in a fast paced environment
