Job Description

He angituutanga: The opportunity

As a Recruitment Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end recruitment process, from attraction, selection to onboarding new employees. You will coach and support hiring managers ensuring a seamless recruitment process which delivers a high level of efficiency and candidate care.

Typically, a day could involve:

• Working through job approvals with hiring managers.
• Taking job briefs.
• Preparing advertisements and offer documentation.
• Implementing creative recruitment strategies to attract diverse candidates.
• Building and maintaining a strong talent pipeline.
• Providing a positive candidate experience through clear communication and timely feedback.
• Assisting with employer branding initiatives and representing Council at job fairs and career expos.

You will be joining a team of three Recruitment Specialists who are part the wider HR Delivery team. We are a high performing, collaborative and supportive team who are dedicated to providing an excellent experience to our stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in recruitment, preferably within a large complex environment.
• Proficiency with applicant tracking systems and HR software, experience with Smart Recruiter would be an advantage.
• Volume recruitment experience.
• Strong knowledge of recruitment strategies and techniques, including sourcing tools and candidate assessment methods.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• A passion for building relationships and understanding candidate motivations.
• Ability to build strong working relationships across a diverse range of stakeholders.
