Taitara Mahi – Cemetery Labourer

Permanent Full-time

Hastings District Council is currently seeking a Cemetery Labourer to work at our four Cemeteries and our Crematorium.

We are looking for someone with a pleasant outgoing personality, who has an affinity for people, who is tidy in appearance, physically fit and a team player. This is a permanent full-time role which will require you to be available to work outside of normal working hours on the weekends and in all weather conditions.

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Cemetery operations experience – desirable OR
• Maintenance experience in grounds/buildings
  
• Eagerness to learn appropriate sections of the Burial Act
• Experience delivering great customer service
• Experience operating a mechanical digger-desirable
• Current full drivers licence
• A can do attitude
