Your new role

• You’ll be building smooth, simple, client interfaces that provide our customers with real-time access to the Organisations digital services.

• Your services will work across digital devices (desktop, mobile).
• You will focus on building solutions and services using the right technology to solve the problem.

• Experience in building and enhancing the Software Development Practice, creating software engineering standards and an engineering excellence culture, driving continuous improvement of software systems together with fostering an innovative culture and mentorship opportunities for team member.

• Experience in building fault tolerant systems, running application performance monitoring and driving enhancements to improve user experience based on data insights.
• Evaluation of current technology landscape for the organisation and driving a technology roadmap to keep the tech up to date, leverage new tech and improve quality, time to market speed and reduce maintenance and operation costs for running the platform.

Experience in the following is preferred:

• Modern javascript (es6/es7) and related build tools (babel, webpack, etc)
• React, React Native Redux/Mobx
• Python and NodeJS
• AWS Cloud platform (EC2, Lambda, SQS, SNS etc).

What you’ll need to succeed

• User-focused web, mobile and digital projects including web and mobile applications, web services and APIs, microsites, CMS and related support and architecture requirements (React, ReactNative, Redux/Mobx, JavaScript, CSS (Sass), HTML5, Kotlin, CI/CD pipeline modern javascript (es6/es7) and related build tools (babel, webpack, etc)

• Building skills in application and technical solution software and tools including:

• Experience in working in agile methodologies, particularly DevSecOps and Scrum
• Experience in AWS (Lambda, SQS, SNS, EC2 etc)
• Application lifecycle management and documentation, including release cycles, testing and iteration planning
• Work autonomously under minimal direction within a small, nimble, cross-functional development team to produce elegant, simple, and user-focused digital products using industry best practice.
