Health Education England (HEE) has a key role to play in ensuring that the healthcare and wider workforce has the necessary skills and abilities for high quality patient care through effective education and training across professions. The Technology Enhanced Learning Team (TEL) provides a range of programmes and services that enables the successful application of learning technologies and simulation-based education.
The Learning Designer (LD) will be key to ensuring that the new service meets user needs, and transforming current content practices and processes.
This is a key role in the development of collaborative e-learning solutions within HEE TEL projects. It offers a great opportunity to use your flair and creativity to bring to life elearning content targeted at the health and social care workforce.
The role requires the person to develop and manage relationships with a range of subject matter experts (SMEs), usually health and social care professionals, across a range of subjects. The LD is also required to work collaboratively with SMEs to define required elearning content, develop content plans for the materials, develop or review materials and manage a session through the development process from initiation to live. The LD will typically operate within a geographically diverse team and contribute to the development of the team, its culture and its working practices.
The post holder will be expected to be flexible and will likely be required to work across the many different areas of Health Education England as business priorities and demands change. Salary Progression
Applicants will commence at the bottom of Band 7 with a full-time starting salary of £40,057, with pay step increases after 2 years’ service and 5 years’ service.
For posts based in Inner London, the above salaries will include the additional supplement of 20% of basic salary, subject to a minimum payment of £4,608 per annum and a maximum payment of £7,097 per annum.
This is offered in accordance with NHS Terms and Conditions and is based on office location.
