Delivering sustainable growth in the nursing, midwifery and AHP workforce,
through an increased supply of newly qualified practitioners, is vital to delivering
the ambitions of the Long-term Plan. We are looking for highly motivated registered
practitioners with a good understanding of the current challenges in education and
workforce, to support senior clinical leaders to deliver on a defined set of workforce
priorities at a regional level.
HEE are appointing a number of RePAIR Fellows across its seven regions to
further explore the factors that lead to student attrition, and those factors that
prevent newly qualified practitioners taking up employment in the NHS. The
Fellows will build effective relationships with key stakeholders to implement
evidence-based interventions to support a stronger culture of support for students
during their studies with a focus on practice placements.
We are looking for registered practitioners who are able to take a multi-professional approach whilst focussing on either nursing and midwifery or AHP workstreams. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the development and delivery workforce policy and gain experience of strategic working within HEE.
The post holders will have responsibility for engaging with a range of stakeholders across health and care system within the NHS, with NHS Arm’s-Length Bodies (ALBs) and education providers, building on the RePAIR programme, and supporting more students to complete their studies.
You will be able to evidence existing managerial experience, ability to lead, empower and motivate others. Successful delivery is dependent on the ability to build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. You will be a self-motivated with excellent attention to detail and be keen to apply and grow your excellent organisational skills.

We are a digital first organisation and currently have a hybrid approach to work, meaning that whilst you will have access to a base in our Manchester office, that for the majority of your time you will be expected to work remotely.

Salary Progression
Applicants will commence at the bottom of Band 8a with a full-time starting salary of £47,126, with a pay step increase after 5 years’ service.
These salaries are offered in accordance with NHS Terms and Conditions and the HEE Pay Progression Policy and are subject to annual cost of living review.
Secondments
Applicants from within the NHS will be offered on a secondment basis only, agreement should be obtained from their employer prior to submitting the application.
