Heavy, a leading news and information website, is looking to partner with a hard-charging, entrepreneurial freelance contributor to cover the Golden State Warriors.

We’ve launched an initiative aimed at having lightning-fast, comprehensive coverage of multiple sports and numerous teams, and are in the midst of expanding.

Candidates should be able to demonstrate the following:

• A passion for and a deep understanding of Warriors.
• Proven ability to vet, verify and confirm information
• A track record of professional NBA coverage
• Exceptional planning and organizational skills
• Ability and desire to react rapidly to breaking news
• Strong multi-tasking and communication skills
• Ability to quickly navigate social media — especially Twitter and Instagram — to spot breaking news and find additional information after a story breaks
• Ability to produce clean and polished copy
