Summary Conducts research and analysis concerning quality of foods to develop and improve foods by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Develops and discriminates documentation for the food safety compliance program.
Develops food product specifications, certificates and analysis and other food quality related documents.
Helps develop all food safety related documentation for the production of high quality food products.
Ensures that all GMP and Safety standards are in compliance. Helps to conduct GMP, food safety, food allergen and other training as per QA Manager’s request.
Oversee the review and maintenance of the BRC System. Be able to cross trained as a QC Technician back up and help department as needed per production schedule and assigned by QA Manager.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree or higher in relevant field required. Equivalent related work experience may be considered.

Mathematical Skills
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of MS Outlook Contact Management systems; Brokers Plus Inventory software; MS Excel Spreadsheet software and MS Word Word Processing software.
