Your Opportunity

As a Senior Software Engineer you will be responsible for the design, development, and delivery of our web applications. You will work closely with fellow software engineers, product managers, and other key stakeholders to devise innovative solutions to customer problems. You will be influential in defining the future of the hipages software architecture as we continue to evolve. But most importantly, you’ll be joining a top-notch engineering team!

We use C# or React.js, although if you have good experience in other languages we want to hear from you!

• Design, development, and delivery of quality, maintainable software applications
• Creation of APIs which will be consumed both internally and externally
• Involvement in data-driven product experimentation
• Writing clean, scalable, testable code to support and enable the growth of the company
• Participation in discussions of system architecture
• Coaching and mentoring of more junior team members

• Technical Mastery: Improves code structure and architecture in service of testability and maintainability; demonstrates clear expertise in a technical area; write, co-writes and reviews design documentation; and uses code reviews as a medium to teach others

About You:

• Requirements (Technical Experience):
• 5+ years of relevant software engineering experience
• Solid understanding of object oriented principles and backend technologies.
• Solid understanding of SOLID principles
• Experience working in an AWS environment and using AWS services, working in an agile team (Scrum or Kanban)
• Experience with modern NoSQL databases and writing automated tests
• Bonus:
• Understanding of the CQRS pattern and event driven architectures
• Played the role of technical lead of a successful delivery team
• Experience building event-based systems, and XP techniques, such as pair programming or TDD
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes and continuous integration systems and concepts
• Understanding of microservices architecture
