One of Australia’s highly regarded Federal Government departments are looking to engage multiple Software Developers/Data Engineers to deliver key elements on their Data Management Platform. The role will be based in Canberra with the successful Software Developers/Data Engineers to be offered a 12-month contract partnered with a 12-month extension. You will also have the opportunity to be sponsored for a Federal Government Security Clearance.

The successful Software Developers/Data Engineers will be responsible for the below:

• Ensuring consistency in the development framework and procedures
• Developing production level applications through full lifecycle
• Programming with Python Web Application framework
• Looking after message queues/event streaming (eg Kafka, Pulsar and RabbitMQ)

The successful Software Developers/Data Engineers will have experience in the following:

• Strong proficiency in Python programming language
• Experience with NoSQL databases (eg MongoDB and Elasticsearch)
• Front End Development knowledge and experience
• Experience with containerisation technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes (desirable)
