We are looking for a Divisional Accountant to lead a small finance team and offer support to the rest of the business. 

This is an important and rewarding role focusing on the following:

• Prepare monthy management reports and financial information for Board & GM reporting
• Prepare and approve monthly journal entries and accruals
• Prepare monthly general ledger and bank reconciliations
• Prepare yearly NZ budgets and monthly forecast
• Understand and maintain financial system processes
• Train and review the work completed by direct reports, including payroll, FBT, GST, cashflow and Capex processes.
• Liaise with Senior Managers and operational staff on the financials
• Other ad hoc duties as requested by Management

Key skills that we are looking for:

At least 2 to 4 years of demonstrated work experience

A sound knowledge of accounting standards

CPA/CA qualified and relevant tertiary qualifications

Ability to manage and lead a team, learning new systems and processes quickly

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Attention to detail and well developed analytical/problem solving skills

Strong time management skills – able to prioritise and work to strict time constraints

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

Based in Silverdale and reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller who is based in Australia, you will need to be eligible to travel to Australia if and when required.
