Here at Homesavers we have an exciting new opportunity for a Category Manager to join our Buying & Commercial Team based at our Support Office in Tallaght, Dublin.

This is an ideal role for the right candidate who is looking to drive their career in the commercial side of retail. As Category Manager you will have autonomy & ownership of your own categories enabling you to develop a broad knowledge in multiple product areas to identify future trends in supporting business growth.

• Proficient in excel, analytical, confident with numbers and able to identify patterns and trends, ability to learn new systems quickly with the ability to conduct regular reviews to maximise sales

Main role responsibilities:

• Full ownership & responsibility of your own categories
• Managing supplier price files and ensuring that any price queries that do arise are dealt with.
• Listing new product lines, processing purchase orders and ensuring timely deliveries.
• Ability to forecast sales & allocate stock as required.
• Conduct market & competitor research – comparing the price, quality and value of their ranges with our own.
• Reporting on sales analysis, key metrics and promotions
• Analyse data & trends and determine if product promotions, price changes, mark downs, clear outs are necessary.
• Dealing with Suppliers, Internal Departments and Stores regarding issues that may arise on a day-to-day basis.
• Able to manage workload and time effectively to juggle ad-hoc work alongside usual tasks and longer-term projects.

Education/Experience

• Degree desirable but not essential
• Min of 2 years in similar role.
• Experience in fast paced working environment
• Ability to work accurately, at pace to meet deadlines
