HR South Looking for Operators – Production, Bagging, Despatch at Invercargill, Southland Full Time

Due to increased demand and steady growth at Ballance’s Awarua based site, we are looking to fill a number of roles in Production, Bagging and Despatch. The roles differ slightly, however getting on-board with Ballance will mean endless opportunities to learn and develop your skills across all areas of the plant.

All applicants must have an understanding, and commitment to Health, Safety and the Environment, in the chemical and heavy equipment industry, and all roles require machine operation, good physical fitness and the ability to work in a team.

Production Operator – shift work.

Raw material intake operation and correct and timely operation of Manufacturing Plant. Involves Loader and Forklift Operation.

Requirements

• Flexibility and ability to work rotating shift work across 24hrs
• Good mechanical aptitude
• Production experience preferred
• Forklift and Loader Licenses ideally.

Dispatch Operator

Mix of Loader Driving and plant operations. Activities include the loading of bulk trucks, hoppers, and general loader operations. Also involves operation of mechanical plant and operator maintenance.

Bagging Operator

Mix of Loader driving and plant operations. Activities include the bagging of bulk and 20kg bags, filling hoppers and general loader operations. Also involves forklift duties and the operation of mechanical plant and operator maintenance.

Requirements for Bagging and Dispatch Operator:

• Class 1 & 2 driver licence. A valid W endorsement is highly desirable
• Previous experience in despatch or plant operations is desirable
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and shift-work during peak seasons
