Hurricane Restaurant Hiring for Pastry Chef/Baker at Kennebunkport, ME Full Time

We are seeking a Pastry Cook/Baker to support our team of talented chefs. The ideal candidate for this position is someone who understands the basics of baking and is a strong team player with the desire to do whatever it takes to be successful. Candidates should also be passionate about working with sweets, and have a commitment to finishing tasks whether others are working alongside them or not. We have a basic dessert menu that changes with the seasons, that can be augmented or changed to include your ideas/input. We highly encourage creativity

Responsibilities:

• Respond to customers’ requests for food items.
• Create and display attractive desserts and other food items.
• Work with management to determine pars.
• Follow food safety standards, such as storing food at the right temperature and washing hands and surfaces often.
• Keep the pastry area (a nice corner area with windows) clean and organized.
• Working with our chef to order the items needed to complete the desserts.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $22.00 – $25.00 per hour
