Clerical Assistant (Part time)

Position Type: Part-time (15-20 hrs per week) that can grow into full time

We are seeking an experienced Clerical Assistant to support our busy offices.

Office is located in DC (walking distance from Tenleytown metro).

This position will involve providing administrative support to a medical practice and law practice. An ideal candidate should be well organized and should be able to possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, be able to work efficiently, independently, and proactively.

Required tasks include but are not limited to:

  • Answering phone calls, emails, messages in a professional and timely manner
  • General paperwork
  • Organizing documents and paperwork
  • Data entry, faxing, scanning, saving documents to database.
  • Make travel arrangements
  • Help ensure that the office runs smoothly, which includes keeping supplies in stock, working with vendors, mail, and shipping needs (general office upkeep)
  • Support marketing efforts
  • Coordinate and manage calendars
  • Scheduling and compiling materials for meetings and conferences
  • Other tasks as need to support administrative support

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

  • College degree (preferred)
  • Minimum 1-3 years’ experience, preferably in customer service, legal, or health-related field
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, Outlook, Excel and Dropbox/Scanning documents
  • Experience using Mac (preferred)
  • Accuracy and attention to detail – this is critical.
  • Ability to maintain highly confidential information.
  • Good communication skills to include receiving verbal instructions
  • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and strong attention to detail
  • Basic analytical skills for common sense decision in day-to-day processing of work assignments
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Organized and ability to follow structured guidelines and standard operating procedures
  • Interpersonal skills with ability to work effectively as a team member
  • Time management ability to prioritize work assignments to be timely and meet deadlines

Compensation:

$20 -$25 / hr – commensurate with experience
