YOUR ROLE 

The purpose of the role and your unique contribution is to own the creation and execution of the strategy which enables T&O to improve the way in which we work together at scale, delivering value better and faster.

As a Manager, Delivery Excellence you will be involved in leading strategic uplift of agile ways of working; ensuring we effectively forecast, plan, and orchestrate demand to most efficiently deliver value; and providing the governance and reporting to provide transparency on progress towards our achievement of the Delivery Excellence strategic objectives.

You will be partnering with cross-functional and cross Divisional delivery teams for successfully shaping best practices and embedding a high performance delivery culture.

Some of the key responsibilities will be –

• Design and execute the strategy which enables T&O to improve the way in which we work together at scale, delivering value better and faster. Maintain a clear roadmap of deliverables and track progress to both quantitative and qualitative success measures.
• Identify, develop, deliver, and embed improved ways of working that scale across the enterprise, leveraging techniques from agility at scale to optimise the management of complex portfolios
• Drive a focus on outcomes, using value-based approaches and enabling strong cross-functional collaboration through mature use of contemporary Technology delivery practices (DevOps/Scrum)
• Collaborate closely across the Divisions to understand resource requirements and project demands.
• Develop and maintain a capacity and demand management framework to ensure optimal allocation of resources, workload balancing and delivery of value at pace; and optimisation of our workforce which enables effective execution of this.

This is a full time, permanent role that is open to people based anywhere in New Zealand and Australia.

This role offers flexible working conditions that support a mix of working from home and being in the office.

About You 

We are looking for the right person, with a good attitude who will be a solid team fit with the following skills and experiences –

• Demonstrated ability in managing complexity, ambiguity and responding to change.
• Proven Experience in fostering a customer-centric environment, and managing change
• Strong commercial acumen.
• Demonstrated ability to define, plan, and shape strategies and initiatives into tactical plans for successful delivery.
• Developed leadership skills with a proven ability to role model values and behaviours.
• Proven experience in building capability and optimising the performance of teams.
• Proven experience in building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared goals.
• Proven experience with creating a continuous improvement environment aligned with agile ways of working.
• Significant experience leading enterprise-scale transformation of ways of working
• Expert knowledge of Agile practices, SAFe, Lean and Scrum; and experience in Agile transformation
• A good understanding of DevOps, Design Thinking, and Product Management disciplines
• Tertiary qualification/s in a relevant business or technology discipline
• Relevant industry or specialist qualifications
