FIRECREST is part of the ICON plc Group and produces highly visual and engaging products for the Clinical Trial Industry. FIRECREST products help improve Site performance by delivering innovative and effective training to sites while complying with Industry Standards. As an organisation responsible for the development of clinical training for medical staff, the 3D Graphics role is critical to the delivery of accurate and high quality training products to our clients.

The Role:

The 3D Generalist should be a creative and highly motivated professional who is capable of producing world-class graphics and animations for customised training products. The individual should be highly proficient in the latest industry standard design applications and be able to undertake and complete project work within specified deadlines. The Graphic Designer should be capable of working on their own initiative as well as part of a cross-functional team.

The 3D Generalist role is team orientated. In addition to working as members of cross-functional production teams, graphic designers also operate as part of the wider graphics team, contributing ideas, and taking a proactive role in the continuing development of FIRECREST’s design solution.

Responsibilities:

• Gain familiarity with all aspects of the 3D Animation role, and other platforms relevant to the job.
• Work with our Pharmacologist team to gain an understanding of any complex content within project scripts.
• Work in collaboration with the Pharmacologist team to create storyboards that clearly and effectively explain the content both in a clear and visually precise manner.
• Develop and contribute 3D Animation and 3D graphics content for other Firecrest products and complete these to a high standard and finish.
• Contribute to the ongoing improvement of the Firecrest approach to creating 3D models/animations.
• Mentor and help train new members of the team, where required. *
• Help foster a culture of creativeness and ingenuity. *
• Travel (approximately 3-5%) domestic and/or international.
• To undertake other reasonably related duties as may be assigned from time to time.

• Develop graphics for other FIRECREST products and complete any additional tasks to a high standard.
• Contribute to ongoing product development in FIRECREST, with particular focus on the approach to graphics/animations.
• Mentor and help train new members of the team, where required.

Requirements:

• Long-Term experience in the Animation and/or Medical visualization Industry a must
• Candidate should be able to provide a good portfolio/showreel
• Have in-depth expert knowledge of 3DSMAX, Adobe After Effects, Zbrush
• Excellent Animation, 3D Modelling, illustration skills and with an exceptional attention to detail.
• Willingness to assume individual responsibility for own deliverables
• Demonstrate ability to work to very tight deadlines, in a fast paced environment
• Experience in Motion Graphics and Design and Python and Unity would be an advantage
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to function within a team environment
• Self – motivated with an ability work alone
