The Employee Services Unit in the Division of Management Services located at our Central Office in Boise is searching for applicants interested in providing excellent customer service and have an eye for detail. This position is 30 hours/week and provides customer services to our employees; a variety of records support functions; reviews and processes documents; determines and explains compliance with laws, rules, regulations and policies and takes appropriate action. This position works in the Employee Information System (EIS); the State Controller’s Applications – IPOPS, I-TIME, Security Access Request site and DHR/Agency Performance Rating History site. They will work closely with staff at the State Controller’s Office and PERSI.

Example of Duties
Process bi-weekly payroll for DHW employees.
Provide customer service by answering phone calls and questions regarding employee benefits, pay, leave, etc.
Create and maintain electronic personnel files.
Research and compile data as requested for Legislative Auditors, Workers Comp, PERSI, Group Insurance, Supervisors and Employees.
Review and process employee benefit documents to complete enrollment.
Other duties as assigned.

Experience monitoring a records system to identify and correct errors.
Experience researching a variety of sources to resolve problems.
Experience interpreting, explaining and applying regulations, laws, or complex policies to carry out assignments.
Experience entering and retrieving data using a computerized records system.
Experience using spreadsheet software.
Experience using word processing software to create and modify documents.
Experience working with sensitive or restricted data.
