Info Services, LLC has an opening for the position of Software Engineer (Ref# SE726DS) to work in Livonia, MI and various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S. Job Duties: Design, develop, implement, test, and maintain business and computer applications software or specialized utility programs, including client/server and web-based applications, and major enhancement of existing systems, using UX (user experience) designs. Collaborate with stakeholders and business analysts for core system configuration. Gather and document user and process requirements, functional requirements, and develop technical requirements. Design and develop a strategic roadmap with blueprints with clear, realistic, and pragmatic goals that are aligned with strategic direction. Develop conceptual flows, diagrams, wireframes, and prototypes to facilitate communication of designs to partners and stakeholders, as well as for gathering user feedback. Use strong visual and UX design skills from low fidelity to high fidelity detail down to the pixel. Develop the client online portal using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and JSP libraries. Incorporate UX tools, data, personas, competitive analysis, and metrics to help shape user experiences. Engage in usability testing and incorporate user preferences and usability findings into designs. Drive and track adoption of usability test and enhancement. Ensure that the design direction incorporates business drivers, operations workflows, user stories, requirements, user insights, and user-centered design opportunities. Involved in application-level architecture and coding design and decisions across the entire application stack in cooperation with company standards. Cooperate with front-end architects to gather requirements and discuss design choices. Develop designs to meet specific requirements. Identify opportunities to drive more value from an organization’s IT strategy through targeted areas contributing to improved business performance and innovation by addressing changing business needs. Conduct and moderate usability interviews. Establish best practices and develop a process and standard around UX. Drive continuous improvement of the processes, standards, policies, and tools. Analyze, develop, and automate various ITSM processes including incident management, change management, and service requests. Travel and/or relocation required. Requirements: This position requires a Master’s degree or foreign academic equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Plus 1 year of experience in the job offered or 1 year in a related occupation including UX Developer or related experience. Position requires 1 year of experience with UX, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. 40hrs/week.
