Job Title: Remote Full-Stack Developer

Location: Remote

Contract Duration: Short-term through October 31st, with likely extensions

Support for: Government Program

Pay: $40-43/hr

Job Description:

We are seeking a talented and motivated Full-Stack Developer to join our team in support of an exciting government program. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge projects while working remotely. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both front-end and back-end technologies, with expertise in Java, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and experience with either React or Vue.js.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain web applications that meet the needs of our government program, ensuring high performance and responsiveness.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers and UX/UI designers, to create user-friendly interfaces and seamless user experiences.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, following best practices for software development and documentation.
• Troubleshoot and debug applications to optimize performance and resolve issues.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and incorporate them into the development process where applicable.
• Contribute to the overall architecture and design of the application, ensuring scalability and security.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience as a Full-Stack Developer or similar role.
• Proficiency in Java for back-end development and JavaScript for front-end development.
• Strong knowledge of HTML and CSS for web design and layout.
• Experience with modern front-end frameworks, specifically React or Vue.js.
• Familiarity with database technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL) and RESTful API design.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks within a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience working on projects related to space, aerospace, or scientific research is a plus.
• Understanding of cloud computing concepts and experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is desirable.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and version control systems (e.g., Git).
