Assists in performance management for R5 grants. This position is responsible for functional supervision and oversight of the Management Information Systems (MIS) and MIS staff. Essential Job DutiesServes as a responsible assistant to the executive team.Specializes in the programs and services offered in the Region 5 area.Supervises the Management Information Systems work and MIS staff.Performs process and system monitoring to ensure adherence to operating procedures, guidelines and specifications and local, state and federal policies and procedures.Analyzes program deficiencies and makes recommendations for staff training needs.Develops training modules and may conduct training to assist staff with continuous improvementAssists in provision of technical assistance and training of service provider staff in areas of participant tracking and case management.Responsible for preparing and analyzing data reports from state data collection systems. Communicates and coordinates activities and information with the IA Management Team.Coordinates with other Workforce Service Areas as required.May attend state level meetings to represent the Region.Other duties as assigned.Working ConditionsWorks most of the time in a well ventilated modern off ice. Performance of duties requires travel within a multi-county area. Works standard 8:00-4:30 pm, except when responsibilities require an adjusted schedule. Infrequent over-night travel required.Skill FactorsBachelors Degree in Business Administration, HR Management, Counseling, Social Work, Public Administration, Psychology, Sociology or other related field.ExperienceAt least two years as employment and training professional or related professional work experience. Demonstrable experience in a responsible position requiring independent judgment. The related work experience may substitute for the four year Bachelors Degree.CommunicationOral and written skills that demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively, including public speaking.KnowledgeKnowledge of: FLSA; Affirmative Action; Executive orders affecting employment; Americans with Disabilities Act; Wagner-Peyser; EEO; and WIOA. Strong computer skills including proficiency with Excel; ability to create and maintain numerous records and reports. Knowledge of virtual technology platforms a plus. Physical DemandsPrimarily limited to those associated with modern offices. Ability to operate a motor vehicle is essential. Near visual acuity is needed to read small print and operate a computer.
