INTO University Partnerships Hiring for Assistant Director – UK Student Accommodation Job at England , UK Full Time

We have an opening for an Assistant Director Accommodation UK to join the INTO University Partnership team. This person will play a crucial role to the business, developing and managing the accommodation strategy with key implementation stakeholders (internal and external), driving occupancy rates; and ensuring provision of accommodation across the INTO UK Centres offers compliant services.

This role will report directly to the VP UK Recruitment, and will work closely with the VP UK Finance, UK Operations and Policy and two SVPs UK Partnerships.

As well as building strong relationships with key stakeholders, this person will lead on developing and influencing the implementation of an accommodation strategy for the INTO UK centres with a key focus on maximising occupancy rates, as well as ensuring providers exercise appropriate duty of care for INTO students in INTO managed accommodation.

Key Accountabilities:

• Working closely with the SVP’s UK Partnerships, the UK Centre Directors and the centre facilities managers to support the business in driving the overall sales proposition for the UK centre managed accommodation portfolio.
• Ensure market leading strategies are embedded for all content and customer touchpoints, ensuring strong return on investment with a key focus on improving occupancy rates and ensuring that the accommodation proposition is an aid to recruitment of international students to the INTO centres.
• Proactive and efficient coordination with the INTO centre teams, Global Recruitment Unit and INTO UK central admissions team to ensure that the accommodation nomination and allocation process supports INTO’s student enrolment figure and meets the production cycle of marketing assets.
• Take a lead role to source, negotiate, and propose external accommodation contracts and licenses to the business.
• Build a granular understanding of the needs and wants of our customers (quantitative and qualitative) to inform the accommodation proposition.
• Create a clear ‘go to market’ plan for target market segments with motivations and housing decision drivers understood.
• Work with external agencies and the Centre Director(s) to improve occupancy when demand is low (e.g., during July and August).
• Develop and manage external (private accommodation) provider relationships.
• Enhance the ‘Living’ element of the student experience supporting centres with regular feedback – using appropriate questionnaires and focus groups with students using INTO managed accommodation.
• Lead on overseeing the development of and enhancements to the UK accommodation booking system(s) and reporting.
• Review all UK centres accommodation strategies with the aim of establishing companywide minimum standards to support an INTO accommodation proposition.
• Working with key internal (IT/MIS) stakeholders to ensure accurate reporting of accommodation occupancy levels and projected volumes/voids to the UKEdCo senior management team.
• Working with key internal stakeholders (IT/Product/Admissions/Finance) to scope and oversee an effective accommodation booking process and systems.

Location

We offer flexible working, not just through these uncertain times but indefinitely. We are based in Brighton however for this role you can be fully remote with options of occasional working in our UK Study Centres
