Role and Responsibilities
Data Entry: This is a support position working with the COVID-19 Investigators, Epidemiologist, and the Public Health Preparedness Team. This position will work within the COVID-19 investigation systems to organize and input data. These systems include, but not limited to, Share Point, Excel, Outlook, internal forms and surveys, and EpiTrax (State of Missouri’s tracking system).
Example of Duties:
Data Entry:
1. Manage data with demonstrated proficiency.
2. Utilize tools to pull data from different sources.
3. Ability to write reports, correspondence, and effectively present information to the appropriate staff.
4. Ability to work independently and maintain productivity.
Teamwork/Communication:
1. Demonstrate collaborative and respectful behavior.
2. Work directly with COVID-19 investigators, leads and supervisor
Organizational Commitment:
1. Regularly attends work except for approved absences.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Advanced skills working with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
2. Willing to work flexible hours
3. Knowledge of Jefferson County agencies is a plus
4. Ability to communicate effectively with others using written and oral communication skills

Qualifications and Education Requirements
1. Intermediate knowledge of office practices, procedures, and equipment.
2. Intermediate knowledge of business math computations, grammar, composition, and spelling.
3. Intermediate knowledge of computer information systems and software.
4. Ability to understand and follow directions.
5. Ability to establish and/or maintain moderately complex records; use coding and filing systems; and retrieve and compile data.
6. Ability to prepare spreadsheets and reports.
7. Ability to make and apply routine decisions in accordance with policies and procedures.
8. Ability to review documents for accuracy and completeness.
9. Ability to complete assignments accurately within specified timeframes.
10. Ability to serve as a lead worker as assigned.
Preferred Skills
Possession of a high school diploma or proof of high school equivalency.
Additional Notes
All employees of JCHD are considered First Responders in the Event of a Disaster Response Situation. All employees must report for duty upon request of the Director during a public health emergency. Employee acknowledgement of this requirement _____ (initials)
Continuing Education Requirements / Expectations
As a condition of employment by Jefferson County Health Department the employee must maintain all applicable licenses and certifications appropriate to this position in current status. This requirement contemplates satisfactory completion of required course work. Completion of continuing education course work that may not be mandatory; but which is designed to ensure currency in the discipline, is encouraged. Additionally, emergency response training courses, identified as appropriate by ordinance, statute, or administration must be completed within established time frames. Annually, JCHD administration will require various course work completion which is not discipline specific and is determined to be of benefit to the organization as a whole.
