Jindal Tubular USA LLC Hiring for Production Technician at Bay Saint Louis, MS Full Time

Primary Duties Include:

·Job Summary:

Production Tech assigned to assist various pipe making machines. Changeover and or assist with changeover or equipment for size changes. Ability to adapt and be available to assist where needed. Provide/receive information from superiors and peers regarding daily responsibilities and functions.

Essential Functions:

· Promptly, at start of shift, review work schedule received, check equipment and supplies required to perform the work scheduled, and prepare for operations.

· Lifts, positions, remove and transport steel coils and steel pipe throughout facility, using crane, forklift and controls.

· Inspects and measures machined pipe to verify conformance and specifications

· Grinds weld and repair pipe when necessary.

· Changeover and or assist with changeover or equipment for size changes.

· Replace worn machine accessories.

· Perform data entry as required for each function.

· At end of shift, secure all equipment and machinery

· Responsible to keep work area clean and assist in general plant clean up.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Assume other duties as assigned by supervisor/managers.

• Performs related duties as required.
• Interact with team members and other departments in a professional manner.
• Ability to train in other operator positions.
• Ability to work overtime and holidays if necessary to meet business effectiveness criteria and/or customer requirements.

Qualifications:

• Must be a US Citizen, or a legal alien
• Must be 18 years of age
• Preferred High School Diploma, or a GED
• Previous experience in an industrial environment preferred, but not required
• Good math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and accurate number identification
• Requires careful reading and attention to detail, close observation and concentration skills
• Good manual dexterity, eye-hand coordination and/or mechanical aptitude
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Ability to use basic hand tools: wrenches, screwdrivers, tape measure, grinders and hand torch
• Must agree to wear the proper assigned Personal Protective Equipment for this job.
• Must be able to perform all the job functions safely.

· Ability to work rotating shifts, on continuous seven-day work cycle.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 – $22.00 per hour
