Johnson & Johnson Health Care Systems is currently recruiting for a Sr. Analyst, North America (NA) Trade Operations to be located in New Brunswick, NJ or Puerto Rico. This position can also be remote if the successful candidate does not reside near a Johnson & Johnson site in the United States or Puerto Rico.

As the Sr. Analyst, North America (NA) Trade Operations you will be part of Regional Deliver Operations. The Senior Analyst is responsible for serving as the primary liaison between the Deliver North America Regional Transportation Organization and the Johnson & Johnson Pharmaceutical companies. You will provide advice and training to business partners on trade compliance processes and procedures that comply with US Customs and Border Protection, FDA, USDA, and other regulatory compliance agencies’ governing the clearance of import and export shipments.
Key responsibilities:
Assign and maintain product classifications (i.e., HTSUS, ECCN, FDA) in the global classification database and J&J internal systems, as required, to communicate product information to freight forwarders and Customs Brokers to affect government agencies.
Respond to transactional inquiries from customs brokers for products which require additional information to be cleared for importation into the U.S.
Serve as liaison between Customs Broker and Regulatory Affairs to resolve FDA holds and Notices of Action until issue resolution.
Identify and implement Trade Compliance opportunities to participate in duty savings opportunities including duty drawback, foreign trade zones and free trade agreements.
Provide direction to business partners on documentation requirements to stay in compliance with CBP/Partner Government Agencies’ requirements for international shipments.
Collaborate with Operating Company business partners to review Trade Compliance assessments, develop training and compliance improvement plan goals.
Implement changes to migrate new and existing US J&J companies into Regional Trade Compliance program utilizing Lean as appropriate.
Develop Quarterly Trade Compliance reviews by company/sector to deliver to key partners. Report on clearance performance and develop strategies to reduce risk of supply chain delays.
Qualifications
Education:
Experience and Skills
Required:
Minimum four (4) years of relevant work experience
Trade Compliance experience
Experience with Foreign Trade Zones
Strong experience in building new relationships that drive cross‐ functional process improvements
Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner to functional leaders in upper management and external partners
Results‐oriented with proven track record of success in delivering on objectives
Ability to work in dynamic, fast‐paced environment with multiple priorities
Strong intellectual curiosity and ability to adopt learning regulatory requirements
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); VLOOKUPS and pivot tables
Must be bilingual – oral and written fluency in both English & Spanish
Preferred:
Licensed Customs Broker and/or Certified Customs Specialist
Project Management experience
Experience working in a highly matrixed, global organization
Other:
Requires up to 10% domestic and international travel
The anticipated base pay range for this position is $76,000 to $121,900
In the Bay Area, the anticipated base pay range for this position is $89,000 to $131,956
