Your Responsibilities

In this role, you will design, build and deliver software solutions following industry standards and practices.

As a Senior Software Engineer for E-Commerce located in Chicago, Illinois , you will….

• Operate within a full stack agile team and participate in all aspects of teams work of building out John Deere’s Ecommerce applications and ensuring delivery adheres to the proposed architecture.

• Ensure high quality software through adherence to Test Driven Development (TDD) as the foundation of development and enabling CI/CD and DevSecOps practices.

• Provide Technical leadership, coaching and mentoring to team members.

• Provide understanding of analytics and integration patterns to leverage in creating a Data driven and Scalable Environment to support Ecommerce.

What Skills You Need

• 6+ years of Software Engineering experience with Java E-Commerce (ex: Platforms, Applications, API’s)

• 6+ years of experience with databases, data management and infrastructure capabilities and constraints

• 4+ years of experience with DevOps and CICD

• 4+ years of experience with TDD (test-driven development and emerging design)

• 3+ years of experience leading a team of full-stack software engineers

• 2+ years of experience with Data & Analytics technologies (Python, Spark or SQL)

• 2+ years of experience with AI/ML

• 2+ years of experience with JavaScript UI applications (React., Angular or Jquery)

• 2+ years of experience with loosely coupled architectures in a public cloud environment (AWS, Google or Azure)

What Makes You Stand Out

• 2+ years of experience delivering Ecommerce Solutions

• 2+ years of experience providing technical leadership, coaching and mentoring to team members within a Product Space

• 2+ years of experience with enabling/enrichment of customer experience over desktop and handheld devices.

• 2+ years of experience with payment gateway and transaction processing

• 2+ years of experience collaborating with multiple business stakeholders to provide information technology solution

• 2+ years of experience/Understanding of Managed Search solutions

• 1+ years of experience with AWS

• AWS Certification

Education

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience in a related career field
