JOYN Looking for Machine Operator at Wigram, Canterbury Full Time

The Company

Foot Science International is a successful, New Zealand owned company designing and manufacturing Formthotics insoles for export around the globe.

Our products are used by medical professionals, high performance athletes and everyday users. Formthotics is patented and trademarked in numerous countries and our brand name is known for the highest manufacturing standards.

We are looking for a new team member with machinery operation experience who can work across our entire manufacturing process.

The Role

Working closely with Production Supervisors, you will be operating machinery with health & safety in mind at all times.

Hours are 7am to 4pm Monday to Thursday with an early finish at 1pm every Friday.

Responsibilities will include:

• Set up and operation of production machinery
• Learn skills in all production areas
• Maintain and clean machinery
• Retrieve, handle and store materials
• Complete reports and daily logs

We are a highly collaborative team and we will welcome your efforts and ideas around business improvement and better ways of working.

An OSH certificate and forklift experience will be an advantage but isn’t essential.

We pay a starting rate above living wage and full health insurance after 6 months.

About You

A positive, team focused approach is essential in this role and you should enjoy learning new skills and adapting to new technologies.

We’re looking for good machinery operation experience and knowledge of computer-controlled production systems will be very useful. You should have keen eye for detail and any experience with quality control will also be an advantage.
