-Maintains the work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions.
· Prepares Team Members for assignments by establishing and conducting new hire orientation and monthly safety training programs.
· Enters employee hours worked into payroll software, tracks all vacation requests and point system to include late starts and missed days.
· Maintains Team Member benefits programs and informs Team Member of benefits available. Aids in directing the processing of benefit claims and conducting educational programs on benefits.
· Ensures legal compliance by supporting the Human Resources Manager through monitoring and implementing policy updates in accordance with company policy and federal/state regulations.
· Maintains management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures.
· Maintains historical human resource records by designing a filing and retrieval system; keeping past and current records.
· Conducts safety inspections of facility, to include fire extinguishers, eyewash stations, ladders, and other weekly/monthly/quarterly safety assessments.
· Becomes chair of safety steering committee and leads committee team during meetings and accident reviews.
· Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training Production Team Members.
– Reports regularly to Corporate Human Resources Manager and EHS Manager on current status of HR and EHS departments.
-Will be assisting in other administrative work and backing up additional office positions, including scheduling shipments to/from facility when needed, as well as assisting in EHS duties to include Stormwater Pollution Prevention Programs and Wastewater Management Programs.
-Bi-Lingual in Spanish/English is a MUST!
