About the role
We are looking for an experienced customer-focused individual wanting to move into the compliance and monitoring field. As a Public Spaces and Animal Management Officer you will provide essential support and undertake duties that ensure our communities are safe and healthy places for everyone. The varied services provided by the Public Spaces and Animal Management team includes the management of certain animals, with a predominant demand managing the licensing and control of dogs within the Kāpiti Coast district. The role includes proactively monitoring and ensuring compliance with relevant bylaws, policies and local restrictions in relation to stationary vehicles, freedom camping and other activities on our beaches and parks. As a PSAM Officer you will effectively respond to and manage customers’ service requests related to relevant activities. The team works on a roster basis and provides a service from 7am – 7pm Monday to Friday and 8am – 5pm on Saturdays and Sundays. The role requires the staff member to work on an on-call after hours roster.
