Kelly is hiring a Saw Operator/Material Handler for our client in the mining industry in Billings! This is a direct hire opportunity, so you will be an employee of our client on day one with these benefits available:

Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Schedule: M – F 8AM – 5PM

The Saw Operator/Material Handler is responsible for cutting material to different lengths for various jobs. Delivering material to machines, staging and delivering components to be repaired by different departments. Must demonstrate ability to be a self-starter, independent thinker, work safely and efficient while working multiple jobs under pressure and at a fast pace.

Job Duties:

• Conduct all activities in a safe manner.

• Set up and operate power saws to cut, miter, and trim metallic workpiece according to specifications.

• Verify dimensions using measuring devices.

• Identify and cut proper material.

• Operate forklifts and overhead cranes to move material.

• Keeps forklift operating by following operating instructions, performs daily inspections, and calling for repairs.

• Organize incoming work by obtaining work orders and staging material or components for upcoming jobs.

• Use of computer system to view inventory and issue inventory.

• Maintain a clean and safe work area.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED.

• Will be required to use computer.

• Basic math skills.

• Work experience and/or education in a manufacturing or industrial setting preferred.

• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
