An exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual to undertake the role of Police Education Qualifications Framework (PEQF) Supervisor.
This will be a challenging role that will involve supporting design, quality assurance and implementation of the PEQF curriculum for the PEQF initial learning programmes to new student police officers joining Essex Police and Kent Police, providing a single point of contact with Anglia Ruskin University (ARU) Higher Education Institute (HEI) partner to co-ordinate all aspects of the curriculum design, workplace rotations and assessment.
You will ensure that the learning and development meets College of Policing and the HEI quality assurance and validations requirements. The role will need to ensure that Learning & Development Senior Leadership Team are kept fully briefed on any issues or problems and developments relevant to the continuous improvement of the curriculum.
Working collaboratively with external and internal stakeholders across both Forces, the PEQF Supervisor will be responsible for the maintenance of the new PEQF curriculum. This includes working in a close partnership with the HEI delivery partner, to define curriculum content and reporting directly to the PEQF Manager for Essex Police and Kent Police.
The successful candidate should be qualified to at least Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training (DET) and be able to demonstrate experience of curriculum and course design relevant to police education.
You will provide evidence of the following skills/experience:
You must have a very good knowledge of police and HEI working practices and in particular have experience of the current PEQF police entry level curriculum and quality assurance processes.
This role will be working to tight deadlines so you must have the ability to prioritise demands, work under pressure and seek creative, innovative ways of working.
This role involves project working and therefore experience in delivering high calibre projects on time is required.
Previous supervisory experience and the ability to develop strong, co-operative working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. In addition, the post holder must have previous experience of partnership working, specifically with external awarding organisations and bodies in the Higher Education Sector.
It is desirable that you are conversant with police education and University academic practice and conventions relevant to the PEQF.
Excellent verbal and written communication are essential, including the ability to research, analyse data and performance information and prepare clear and concise management reports.
A flexible working ethos is desirable as occasional out of hours working may be required.
