Kforce has a client who is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their team in Chicago, IL.Summary:The Senior Software Engineer designs, builds, and maintains high quality technology solutions focused on our suite of SaaS healthcare applications and services. As part of a collaborative, motivated Agile-based team, the Senior Software Engineer will require close and continuous collaboration with the Lead & Senior Developers and fellow team members to translate user stories and functional requirements into resilient and secure technical designs which will be implemented as production-ready application code.Responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior software engineers and other team members to design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable, and reliable software

• Maintain existing codebase and collaborate with senior engineers to develop new features as business needs change

• Work with senior software engineers to identify and implement new technologies and techniques that can improve our overall platform performance and ultimate customer experience

• Work independently and know when to ask for help solving complex problems

• Author technical design documentation in adherence to business and solution architecture requirements

• Adhere to and ensure engineering best practices using modern SDLC that enables CI/CD and favors automation, auditability, automated testing, infrastructure, and policy as code

• Troubleshoot and research common issues utilizing existing procedures and adapting as the situation requires

• Develop and maintain relationships with diverse teams spanning all organizational levels to effectively articulate technology solution and gain trust and buy-in

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical field; or equivalent

• 1 years of experience delivering web-based applications and services

• Ability to collaborate effectively with other architects and engineers

• Understanding of object-oriented principles in languages such as C#, C , and Java

• Understanding of modern software development including version control, unit testing, and continuous integration

• Strong communication skills, with proven ability to present complex ideas and to document concisely

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
