Kforce Hiring for Staff Accountant at Grand Rapids, Michigan Full Time

Kforce’s client, a Grand Rapids area mid-sized distribution company, is looking to add a Staff Accountant to their accounting team. This position will report to the VP of Finance.Responsibilities:

• The Staff Accountant will prepare monthly income statement, balance sheet, and other financial reports

• Reconcile bank accounts and other balance sheet accounts

• Enter trade and expense vendor invoices

• Ensure proper approval and documentation has been received for expense invoices

• As a Staff Accountant, you will complete payment of all invoices

• Prepare journal entries

• Provide assistance to accountants, auditors, and other outside services

• Cross-train and assist with the collection of receivables and processing customer invoices

• Create new vendor profiles in system

• Generate daily cash flow report

• Assist with financial analysis projects

• The Staff Accountant will track inventory balances

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business or equivalent experience preferred

• 3 years of related accounting experience

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
