Kumon Math Assistant Grader with Data Entry and Office work hours added.

This is a part-time/Hourly

Hours:

Mondays 3:00pm – 7:30pm

Tuesdays 3:00pm – 6:30pm

Wednesdays – TBD (potentially 12pm -5pm)

Thursdays 3:00pm – 7:30pm

Fridays – TBD (potentially 12pm -5pm)

Looking for someone who has good knowledge & math skills to assist in higher level math from Pre-Algebra to high school level calculus. Must enjoy working with children ages K-12 grade.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Grade students’ math worksheets using answer books. (however you need to have knowledge of material to help a student that might have a question and to be able to see if student is answering questions correctly with the right steps shown.)

* Guide students through problems using the Kumon Method – we ask you to train with us so you know how to help students.

* Assist in clerical work, preparing for class, data entry, reception work and clean-up.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Must have strong math aptitude. Willing to study our worksheets to be able to help students when they have questions.

2. Must be able to multi-task and work quickly while working one on one with multiple students.

3. Ability to provide praise and encouragement to all students. Happy attitude.

4. Tutoring experience a plus!

5. Former Kumon student a plus!

6. Former Kumon grader experience is a plus!

Who we are: Kumon offers a method of learning through ability-matched worksheets that provides individualized self-paced instruction of math & reading with the aim to reach and exceed their school grade level. The math curriculum consists of 23 levels developing pre-numeracy skills up to high school level calculus. The reading curriculum consists of 22 levels developing pre-literacy skills and goes up to high school level reading comprehension.

We will ask you to take a test to show what math skills you have and want you to do paid studying of our materials to get more proficient in grading and helping students when needed.

Pay: $10.00 – $12.00 per hour
