Job Title: Sushi Prep Staff
FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt
Department: Store Operations
Reports To: Store Manager
Overview
At Kura Sushi, our Sushi/Prep Cooks take pride in ensuring our guests are provided the freshest, tastiest food using the unique Kura System. They are responsible for accurately and efficiently cutting, preparing and portioning all fish and other menu items in accordance with Kura’s recipes and procedures. No prior sushi experience is needed, but a can-do, positive attitude is a must!
Responsibilities

• Receive and accurately prepare food orders through the Kura System
• Prepare high-quality dishes that align with Kura standards
• Maintain clean and organized prep stations
• Stand for long periods of time
• Lift items up to 30 lbs

Requirements/Qualifications

• Previous experience in a restaurant kitchen
• Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Self-motivated achiever interested in taking on additional roles and responsibilities
• Excellent and collaborative communication skills
• Accountable in upholding high standards
• Open availability and flexibility is a must
