Social Mobility and Student Success is an ambitious and developing department who support the University’s strategic objectives relating to social mobility and widening participation, contributing to the University receiving the national award of ‘NEON Higher Education Institution of the Year’ in 2021 and Student Success Initiative of the Year at the 2022 Social Mobility Awards.
The post holder for this exciting role will be responsible for the development and management of a series of high quality initiatives and activities that support the success and progression of WP students already studying at the University, including Lancaster’s flagship Lancaster Success Programme.
An experienced practitioner with knowledge of the student lifecycle in higher education as well as previous experience of formulating and delivering widening participation, student success or progression campaigns as well as managing people, the successful candidate will manage a diverse and experienced Student Success team to support the University to achieve its ambitions and targets as set out in our Access and Participation Plan.
You should be able to work on your own initiative, have excellent written, oral and interpersonal skills and be able to communicate confidently, fluently and knowledgeably with a range of stakeholders across all levels of the organisation.
