The Receptionist is responsible for creating and maintaining a welcoming environment for guests who call or visit the Morris Cerullo World Evangelism (MCWE) Corporate office. This position also assists the Human Resources staff with HR-related tasks (e.g. digital and hardcopy filing, collecting data, maintaining spreadsheets, event resources, calendars, completes reference and background checks, compiles new hire packets and personnel folders, assists with the planning and execution of employee events, etc.). Must maintain confidentiality, be able to work the assigned schedule, attend staff Chapel, and adhere to the tenets of the Christian faith.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Receptionist Duties –
· Serves as the Director of First Impressions for anyone contacting the company by phone or in person.
· Maintains security by following procedures, maintaining our visitor log, and issuing visitor badges.
· Greets guests and connects them with the appropriate party.
· Answers the phone within one or two rings and forwards calls to the correct party.
· Reviews, approves or denies conference room reservation requests based on room availability.
· Ensures that the lobby is well maintained (e.g. current flyers and books displayed, tidy surfaces and workstation, etc.).
· Maintains multiple calendars as instructed by the HR Director.
· May edit and distribute the company directory to staff and leadership as applicable.
Office Administration –
· Liaises with and works alongside personnel in all functional areas within the organization (e.g. staff, supervisors, managers, directors, and executive leadership) on a regular basis.
· Creates and maintains digital and hardcopy files.
· Updates budget tracking resources with relevant expenditures.
Talent Acquisition –
· Posts job openings in the Talent Acquisition module of the company’s HRIS system, company website, and various career sites (e.g. Indeed, Zip Recruiter, etc.).
· Reviews applicant submissions to ensure thorough completion of our Application for Employment and follows up with applicants as directed.
· Completes candidate disposition once requisitions have been filled.
· Completes reference and background checks and conducts pre-employment assessments for applicable positions.
New Hire Processing –
· Compiles new hire orientation packets and processes relevant forms.
· Maintains all aspects of file management for digital and hard copy files.
Compliance –
· Reads, understands, and informs employees of the details associated with the company’s practices, policies, procedures, and benefit plans.
· Completes required training satisfactorily.
· Inputs Eligibility for Employment (I-9) information in E-Verify and Paycom, as well as ensuring accurate document completion and compliant retention.
Miscellaneous –
· Works in conjunction with HR Director to plan, schedule, and implement employee events (e.g. “Lunch and Learn”, birthday and employment anniversary acknowledgments, Employee of the Quarter and Year celebrations, and other staff events).
· Executes special assignments and tasks under only general supervision.
· And other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Minimum of 2 years of experience as a receptionist
· High School diploma or G.E.D
· Fluent in English required (e.g. speaking, reading, and writing)
· Fluent in Spanish is a plus
· Type 45 WPM
· Intermediate computer skills and proficient with MS Office (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
· Prior experience as part of an HR team is preferred

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This job operates primarily indoors at a large campus with multi-story buildings and uneven outdoor areas (e.g. steps, ramps, and gardens) that are open to the elements and changing weather conditions (e.g. direct or indirect sunlight, heat, humidity, rain and cold). This position requires regular interaction with staff and members of the public and routinely uses equipment such as computers, phones, and printers.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND ABILITIES:
· This position requires the ability to navigate throughout a large campus with indoor and outdoor work and event spaces.
· Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
· Regularly lift and/or move objects 20 lbs.; occasionally team lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 20 lbs.
· Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and occasionally bend, reach, move or carry
· Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus.
